Teano is a brand of Italian-designed bathroom and kitchen taps sold by the Czech online store teano.cz (TEANO s.r.o., Prague). It offers 21 collections named after Italian cities – for example Sorrento, Portofino, Positano and Salerno. Each collection includes basin, bath and shower mixers in the same design.

Italian-style designer taps can be bought online at teano.cz. In-stock items are dispatched within 1–2 working days anywhere in the Czech Republic, and delivery is free for orders over CZK 5,000. Delivery to Slovakia and other EU countries is available on request.

Basin mixers (deck-mounted, tall and wall-mounted concealed), bath, shower and bidet mixers, shower systems, overhead and hand showers, kitchen taps, electric towel radiators and bathroom accessories. In total more than 250 products in 21 collections.

The spout height is what matters. Low mixers (spout up to approx. 10 cm) suit undermount basins, medium ones (10–12 cm) suit standard basins with a tap ledge, and tall mixers (spout around 21–25 cm) are made for countertop basins, typically bowls about 13 cm high. A mixer that is too tall for a shallow basin will splash.

Products on teano.cz come with a dimension drawing showing the overall height, spout height and spout reach (the distance from the mixer body to the point where water flows out). The stream should land roughly in the middle of the basin. Check the dimensions before installation.

A deck-mounted mixer fits into the hole in the basin or countertop and can be replaced at any time without building work. A wall-mounted concealed mixer keeps the countertop free – only the spout and lever come out of the wall, so cleaning is easy. It does, however, need a concealed body built into the wall, which must be planned before tiling.

Ideally before the plumber installs the pipework, and at the latest before the tiler arrives. Wall-mounted and concealed mixers, as well as ceiling-mounted overhead showers, need water outlets in an exact position. Moving them after tiling means cutting into new tiles.

The simplest way is to choose one collection. Teano collections include basin, bath, shower and often bidet mixers with the same lever shape and the same lines, so the bathroom looks like one whole. Accessories in the same style can be added.

The body is made of low-lead brass, which is safe for drinking water and very durable. Single-lever mixers use Kerox ceramic cartridges (mostly 35 mm) for smooth, quiet control and NEOPERL aerators, which aerate the stream, reduce splashing and lower water consumption.

No. Teano taps are designed for pressurised systems – the mains water supply or a pressurised boiler, which is standard in flats and houses. Small open-outlet water heaters under the basin require a special low-pressure mixer.

Wipe it dry with a microfibre cloth after use. For regular cleaning, lukewarm water and a mild detergent are enough. Do not use abrasive sponges, scouring powders or products containing chlorine or strong acids – they damage the surface. With very hard water, a water softener helps.

A weak flow is usually caused by a blocked aerator: unscrew it, soak it in a vinegar or citric acid solution and rinse it. Dripping usually means a worn cartridge – it can be replaced on its own, there is no need to replace the whole tap.

Yes, especially where a radiator cannot easily be connected to central heating – for example in prefab apartment blocks – or if you want dry towels in summer outside the heating season. An electric towel radiator works independently. The power supply in a bathroom must be connected by an electrician according to the bathroom zone rules.
